If an individual performs Yoga asanas on a regular basis, there is no way in which he can fall ill or go through any issue. Yoga is one of the ways in which your body, mind and spirit can be aligned. It activates all of your chakras, even if you have absolutely no knowledge about them. You just have to perform a few asanas on a daily basis and see the changes happening in your life. You feel less stressed, more active and attracted towards positive things. If you want to experience the ‘Law Of Attraction’, practice Yoga because certain asanas activate your pineal gland, which is very important to attract positive energy in your way.

8 types of yoga:

Bikram

In this type of Yoga, heat is used as the basic way to get closer to yourself (The Higher Self). The temperature is set to 105 degrees. You then get into certain asanas that make you feel great. You feel like you’re in Sauna. There are 26 basic Yoga postures performed twice in this Yoga.

Astanga

There are six different pose sequences that are used in this type of Yoga. It includes the primary series, the second series, the third series, etc. It is not an easy task to get to the final level of the asanas performed in this Yoga.

Jivamukti

This Yoga pushes you to your greatest extent. It is something that the Western practitioners use the most. It was created by David Life and Sharon Gannon in the year 1984 and since then, a lot of people have been using it. Roughly, it is translated as “Liberation While Living.”

Iyengar

Founded by B.K.S. Iyengar, this is one of the purest types of Yoga. You need props like straps, inclination boards, harnesses and blocks that boost you to perform asanas in a wonderful manner. It is also known as “The Furniture Yoga.”

Kundalini

Kundalini is the serpent energy silently sleeping at the base of your spine (The Root Chakra). When you get into the meditation of Kundalini, you wake up the Shakti Energy (The Feminine Energy) and allow her to move upward to your Crown Chakra, where it meets the Shiva Energy (The Masculine Energy). Certain Yoga poses can help you witness the mating of the two most important energies in your body.

Kripalu

In this type of Yoga, you simply get into a three-step practice. You begin with learning about how your body works when you perform various poses; it then moves towards the time for which you can hold on to the postures; finally, it moves to meditation. Longer you can hold on to the pose, the better it is for your body.

Viniyoga

Looking for flexibility? If you want to be as flexible as a human body can, you have to warm up first. Viniyoga is one of the best types of Yoga that prepares you before you get into flexible exercises. Vini stands for adaptation, application and differentiation. In this type of Yoga, you do not begin with the flexible exercises without proper warming up asanas. This is the best thing about this Yoga.

Sivananda

While most of the types of Yoga focus on exercises and asanas, this is the type that focuses on developing an individual’s lifestyle. It helps in achieving the Yogic lifestyle, craved by many individuals performing Yoga all the time. If you are into Sivananda Yoga, you have to begin your Yoga with Sun Salutations (Suryanamaskar) and, end it with the Corpse Pose (Shavasana).

Performing Yoga on a daily basis can:

  • Help in anger management, especially if you have been a short tempered person all your life
  • Develop a proper Yogic lifestyle
  • Take you to another level when you meditate
  • Bring you closer to the things that you want to achieve in your life
  • Make you more flexible
  • Give you inner strength and wisdom
  • Provide you with all the psychic abilities that you need in your life
  • Boost your stamina
  • Boost your immunity levels
  • Attract people towards you because of your calm nature and clean aura

No matter which type of Yoga you adopt in your life, make sure to do it with all your heart. There are a few people who treat Yoga as nothing more or less than a trending thing and thus, they don’t benefit out of any of the asanas they perform. Yoga shouldn’t be done just because the asana videos go viral; it should be done because there are a lot of health benefits of performing the same.
