5 Poses to Re energize Yourself at the Work

Yoga improves the whole well-being of a person and helps evolve mentally, physically, spiritually. Corporate yoga is another form of yoga designed especially for working people. It comprises a set of simple exercises that can be performed unobtrusively at the workstations itself, anytime during the day. Making corporate yoga asanas a part of the daily routine can do wonders to a person. These yoga poses wipe away body pain, stress, tension, and fatigue while improving overall muscle strength, flexibility, while keeping them energised and revitalized throughout the day.

Corporate yoga classes provides good workout and boosts their energy level, leading to better functioning and improved work quality. It helps workers recharge their batteries, create healthier relationships, and increases motivation and self-esteem.
Corporate Yoga Asanas: Unlike other yoga sequences, Corporate Yoga exercises can be performed simply at the desk in office itself. You don’t need too much space or a change of clothes to practice Corporate yoga asanas. Here are the five corporate yoga poses you can give a shot and head for a great start.
1. Neck Roll or Kanta Sanchalana: Sit straight and close your eyes. Drop your chin to the chest. Now start moving your neck slowly in a circular motion. Move the right ear to the right shoulder, bend the back backwards and then left ear to the left shoulder. While performing the circular motion through the neck, keep the shoulders relaxed and loose. Rotate the neck for at least 3-5 times and then switch directions in starting the motion.
2. Cow Stretch or Marjaryasana: Sit straight and keep feet flat on the floor. Place both palms on the knees. Now inhale, and stretch your back backwards. Bend your head backwards and look toward the ceiling. Now exhale, stretch your back forward. Drop your head forward and look towards the floor. Repeat this yoga pose for 3-4 times.
3. Seated Forward Bend or Paschimottanasana: Before getting started, push your chair away from the desk. Sit on the chair straight and keep the feet flat on the floor. Now, bring your arms backwards, behind the lower back without bending your back. Interlace the fingers behind the back and bend forward from the waist. Now raise your interlaced fingers over your back. Let your chest rest on thighs and relax the neck.
4. Eagle Arms Pose or Garudasana: Start the yoga pose while sitting in the chair. Raise both arms in the front. Keep them parallel to the floor with palms facing down. Now, cross the right arm over the left and join the palms. Bend your elbows slightly if needed. Now, lift both elbows and let the shoulders slide down the back. Repeat this yoga pose with the left arm over the right.
5. Seated Spinal Twist Pose or Ardha Matsyendrasana: Keep the feet flat on the floor and sit sideways in your chair. Twist your body from the waist to the right towards the back of the chair while holding the back of the chair with both hands. Repeat the same on the other side. Do it for 4-5 times. Turn to the other side.
6. Temple Rub: Place your elbows on the desk and hands on your temples. Rub your temples with hands gently in small circular motions clockwise and then anti-clockwise. Do this for at least 10-15 breaths.
So, practice these corporate yoga poses on a regular basis and show the best version of you at the workplace.
